A soldier in regular military service who works as a salaried or self-employed worker is exempt from paying health insurance premiums on his wage.
If health insurance contributions were deducted from your wage during your regular military service, you must contact your employer to obtain a refund for the current year.
In order to obtain a refund for previous years, you must perform a coordination of insurance contributions on the website of the National Insurance Institute.
Please note that a retroactive refund can be made up to 7 years back.
